Celebrating Kidzfest at Canada’s Wonderland!

Canada’s Wonderland has been pretty high on this summer’s bucket list for my 5-year-old (and for mom and dad too), so when they approached me to come and celebrate their Kidzfest celebration we were so excited! My son is all about stepping out of his comfort zone, and while he’s never truly been to any kind of park similar to Canada’s Wonderland and has never really been on a rollercoaster he was so excited to get to go finally! We packed up the car, packed up the baby, and headed out to Vaughan which is about a 45-minute drive from us. Arriving and getting into the park was truly a breeze - a bit of a wait but totally expected based on the great weather we had when we decided to go.

Canada’s Wonderland Kidzfest runs from July 23rd to August 7th and is the perfect celebration for kids of ALL ages. Every day they are hosting a meet and greet with everyone’s favorite Treehouse TV characters and there is sure to be one your little one will love! The Care Bears will be making an appearance, along with some of the most lovable characters from Sesame Street, Peppa Pig, Paw Patrol, Blues Clues, Ranger Rob, and more! One of Adler’s favorite TV characters is none other than Bluey and the gang and he was overjoyed at the fact that he actually got to meet him! Bluey was hanging out in one of the theatre areas, right next to the fantastic park they have on-site, and Adler got to go right up and snap a photo beside him. He has not stopped talking about it to this day.

If you know Adler, you also know that he’s a total superhero fanatic. His life truly revolves around every single Marvel character but especially Spider-Man. He’s the kid with the fully decked-out Spider-Man bedroom, Spider-Man clothing from head to toe, and a Spider-Man movie is always on TV - so what do you think his reaction was when we found out Spider-Man was also going to be in attendance at Wonderland’s Kidzfest?! That’s right! Not only are there appearances by the people mentioned above, but ALSO by your favorite Marvel characters! Although Spider-Man was the one superhero we met, there were also appearances by Ant-Man, Starlord, Iron Man, and Captain America! Truly something for kids of all ages.

All of this is taking place in their Kidsville area of the park where there are constantly events and fun shows put on for the kids in their various theatre areas. Sit and enjoy shows such as Sally’s Dance Party, Bluey Story and Dance and so much more. We loved the Funline Drumline - a drumline band with some amazing tunes! Kidsville is also right next to Snoopy’s World, another kid’s area of the park that is Charlie Brown and Peanuts-themed (hence the title Snoopy’s world) so this also made the area so much fun!

All in all, the Kidzfest was such an amazing bonus to an already fun-filled day. Don’t worry if you can’t make it to the park before August 7th - the amazing thing about Wonderland is that there is ALWAYS something going on that you won’t want to miss. Spending the day there was easy because of the constant activities we enjoyed doing - we got there for opening and didn’t end up leaving until 6 pm, what a day! While you’re there, make sure to check out as many rides as you can, treat yourself to a funnel cake and you’ll have to catch a ride or two on the Ghoster Coaster before you leave - it had to be Adler’s favorite ride.
